Frequently Asked Questions

It’s always best to check your gas supply before the holidays begin to make sure you’re all set. Rockgas Wanaka has an afterhours call out service that you can use if you run out of LPG during public holidays. Please note, an additional charge may apply.

Smelling LPG is not always a sure sign of danger, as there can be several reasons for the odour, but it’s always best to get it checked. If you smell gas, give us a call or contact a registered gas fitter right away.

If you have been advised that you have a leaking pigtail, you will need to get your local gasfitter to replace these. If in doubt, give us or your gasfitter a call to check it out.

That depends on your dog! Please do let us know beforehand that you have a dog if it’s a first-time delivery, just to make sure our drivers are aware. We appreciate it if you make sure your dog stays inside or is secured with a leash when we arrive at your property. If your dog is friendly and we get to know each other a bit over time, having your dog around should be fine.

We rent our cylinders to our customers to ensure a smooth transition and continued supply of LPG to your property. We are responsible for maintaining and delivering them, which means Rockgas Wanaka looks after the upkeep and maintenance on the cylinders to ensure they are always safe.

Most homes are fitted with a twin pack 45kg cylinder bottle station. We can also deliver 18kg and 9kg bottle swap cylinders.

Yes, we have a gas bottle filling service onsite. We fill everything from 2kg up to 45kg cylinders. Pop in and see the team at 24 Reece Crescent and we’ll help you out. However, the fillers may not always be in the yard. If a filler is not available when you arrive, you can leave the cylinder and call back for it later that day.
